Our Services

We grow our own flowers, hanging baskets and vegetables in our 9 green houses located on 3 acres in Southfield, Michigan. The ambiance of our open air market gives you a “down on the farm” warm and fuzzy feeling; with its split rail fences, Amish built wagons, and tables of flowers bursting with color and fragrances. We all love greenery in our gardens and in our homes. Flowerland carries a wide range of fruit, vegetables, trees, bushes, and plants.

Once the garden is planted, don’t forget to add your own touches of creativity, function and style with pots, fountains, container gardens, arbors and trellises, bird baths and stepping stones; Flowerland carries an extensive selection of these items. If you need help making a selection, don’t worry, our knowledgeable staff will assist you with all your garden needs. Need help getting your new treasures home? We offer delivery to the local Detroit Area, making your outdoor oasis a reality.

Annual plants are those that live for one growing season and do not come back the following year (like perennials do).  Annuals are used to provide season-long color and interest.  They can be used in flower beds, mixed in with perennials, and work great in container gardens.  Flowerland grows an extensive selection of both spring and fall annuals, including Michigan hardy plants.

Perennials are greenery you plant once, and they will continue to come back year after year.  These plants are popular because they are more cost-effective than annuals (since they do not need to be replaced each spring and fall).  However, unlike annuals, perennials tend to have a shorter and more specific bloom time.

Michigan fruits and vegetables go far beyond the state’s famous sour cherries in the Lower Peninsula and blueberries in the Upper Peninsula. The growing season may be short, and sometimes change in one day, so it’s important, when investing in your garden, you take full advantage of the season when it finally decides shows up.

Flowerland has a wide variety of mulch to support your beautiful outdoor oasis.

Our mulch is produced and stock right on our yard, giving you the freshest most nutrient enriching product for plants, landscape beds and soils. Don’t have room in your vehicle for what you need? Don’t worry, we can deliver it for you to help get your project started.
